Sometimes a few finished items will be available to blog readers as "samples" at prices less than what I'd sell them for retail. This gives me a chance to recoup my supply costs, keeps me from drowning in things I've made, and gives blog readers a chance to pick up some thing at a nice price.
These are things I've sewn:
- to promote my current patterns by showing examples of things made either directly from a pattern or based off a pattern.
- while writing a new pattern.
- just to try new things out.
- and possibly made some mistakes.
The sample description will talk about them in terms of sewing--what pattern I used (or didn't), maybe why I made it, any mistakes or issues I encountered so you can avoid making them yourself.
Most samples sell within 24-hours of being posted. Sometimes it only takes minutes for someone to claim one, so don't wait if you like the sample available!
If you really want to be on the look-out for samples, follow me on twitter or instagram. I'm terrible at twitter, but do remember to tweet my blog posts.
The price includes shipping within the US and they are available in the US only (for now).
If you go to checkout and get the "item unavailable" message, it has sold out.
When you click "continue shopping" you will come back to my blog. PayPal gives you a message about how the page isn't encrypted--ignore that message. It is just saying: "Hey, the PayPal payment page is encrypted, but the continue shopping page isn't...". You aren't actually sending any info by returning to my blog, so it makes no difference.
