Last night I made this zip pouch and it was my first time sewing a zipper that extends beyond the sides of the pouch.
Sometime soon it would be great to play around with this technique again. First I have to finish the cross-body bag pattern. I was just taking a brief break here...too much time writing can be mind-numbing and slightly stressful all at the same time. Frequent breaks are necessary to maintain my sanity!
This style of zipper has been on my to try list for a long time now. It is really nice because the pouch opens wide, and the covered ends can be grasped when zipping it open/closed.
The fabric is called Apple Dot by Sandi Henderson. It is another one that needs to go in my swatch book. These dots are ok with it, but I could use something else to coordinate with this print. The red and pink are different shades than any fabrics in my current stash.
