Today I almost finished taking photos for this pattern. There is just one more to take--it falls right in the middle of the construction and I totally forgot to take the picture. Whoops. I will take care of it tomorrow.
For this one, I made the tie closure slightly different. Rather than having one tie on each side, I put them both on one side and added a loop to the back.
This style makes it easier to have the bow face forward where it can be part of the overall design as well as a closure.
When the ties are on opposite sides of the bag, the bow naturally wants to go to the middle and sit sideways. It can be moved around to the front, but requires some attention to get it in place neatly.
With this type of closure, the bow can also be left tied and then pulled through the loop. Once it is through, it will spread out and I don't think it is going to come out of the loop unless manually moved. The ties can also be left untied and just pulled through the loop to hang down the front.
So I'm getting closer to being done with the pattern for this bag in two sizes. It is coming "soon".
