A piece of lingerie elastic has been sewn into the front as an embellishment. This is 3/8" elastic and you can find this scalloped edge version on etsy. I also have some lace lingerie elastic available here.
I've decided this technique works best for me if I sew the pieces to a base. Here I'm sewing it to a piece of flannel:
Today this zip top pouch is available as a sample.Sold - Thanks!
This is #4 from the Zipper Pouch Templates. The exterior patchwork was pieced on a foundation of Quilters Dream batting in the Request weight and a layer of muslin. This is one of my favorite combinations for these pouches because it is padded without being puffy.
Inside there is one credit/debit card size pocket. The pocket pattern piece used is the large pocket from the Pintuck Wristlet pattern, but scaled down to 75%.

Last night I officially switched over to my new website. It's been in the works for many months, so it feels great to have it up and running.
It doesn't look that much different, but the product photos are larger, hardware has been added, and there are subcategories. The previous site had categories, but the navigation couldn't be broken down further into subcategories. So I'm very excited about the subcategories!
Here you can see where if you are in "Sewing Patterns" you can further sort them by the subcategories in italics:
Stop by and give it a test run using the discount code below to take 25% off any purchase through Friday (6/27):
Earlier in the month I did a tutorial for this leash on Instagram. Someone suggested adding a unique hashtag for the tutorial to make it easy to find the photos. So today I added #patchworkleash to all the tutorial photos.
The swivel clips used for the leash can be found can be at the links below. These work really well because of the flat ends.
