I'm enjoying reading what everyone finished and what you want to get done this week! It helps me get to *know* you all better and helps me recognize names and blogs. Plus, it is just interesting to me.
You might have noticed Bryanne wrote those posts and wondered who she is...well, she is the "creative assistant". Whew, it is a big relief to have help, a big step towards being more productive, and a big financial risk for me personally. In short, it is a major milestone for my business. Normally, I'd like to ponder what it means, how I got here, etc. But there's no time for over-analyzing right now. Thinking too much just make me nervouse anyway. Right now it is time to focus on getting stuff done!
I do want to take a moment to let you know I'm grateful for your support. Thanks so much for your help and encouragement!
Back to those goals...I wanted to check in and let everyone know I finished about 1.5 (or so) of my goal. My goal was to make 2 things I had never made before. One project was completed (phone pouch) and a second is about half done. The second project is for a special blog post, so I'm keeping it semi-secret for now.
So here is the new pouch for my new phone! My old phone was getting so hot I thought my hair might catch on fire, so I saved up and got an iphone. It is a very nice phone and worth the wait.
There is a pleated pocket on the front for the ear buds. This was my first try making this pouch and it turned out nice. Next time I make it, there will be a few minor changes.
Ok, so stay tuned. In the next couple days the updated Grocery Bag pattern will be ready. I just have to add the text to the handle pieces and put the pattern document together. There will also be a preview of what we'll be sewing in my Sewing Summit class!
