Yesterday I finished a larger version of this pouch. It turned out really well. Next time I plan to make it slightly larger.
This pouch feels good to hold. I'm pretty sure most of you are sort of tactile people too. Sewing itself is a very touchy hobby.
I like soft fabrics like flannel and cotton velvet, silky fabric (but it is so hard to sew!), and the squishiness of sewing wool. The weight and drape also affects how I feel about a particular fabric. My favorite batting for quilts is Quilters Dream Cotton "Request" because the finished quilt has a spongy texture. Specifically, it feels like the Ethopian bread called Ingera, and it feels fantastic to me.
Does anyone else have things they enjoying working with because they feel appealing?
